TEAHPLAY LODGING PROJECT

The Challenge:
There is a lack of adequate accommodation in the Village of Teahplay. This poses a serious problem for the Teahplay School because it prevents the school from gaining access to resources such as trained teachers. Teahplay School only has two trained teachers and four volunteer (untrained) teachers for three hundred students.

Solution:
Providing a building for short-term dwelling, sleep, safe, suitable living conditions with access to water, sanitation and solar electricity, will:

• Encourage trained teachers to choose to teach at the Teahplay School
• Allow R.O.C.K. to partner with medical care teams (doctors, nurses, occupational and physical therapists), mental health counselors, educators to conduct teacher training workshops and, missionaries to provide leadership training and spiritual supports.
